"Cassandra Never Lies" by Roymackonkey (Rock Artist from California (CA))

Aussie band Roymackonkey delivers solid, '90s era rock with their newest effort "Cassandra Never Lies." After spending the summer touring the "land down under" with Wolfmother, it seems like this band is ready to spread their sound overseas and beyond. Their sound is sort of dated, but in a good way that reminds listeners of bands like Gin Blossoms or Nirvana. "The Fear" evokes that early '90s feel more than any other song on this album and has a nice R.E.M quality to it. The groove of "Chain Letter" is very solid and has that 'hit single' vibe to it. If you are looking to reminisce with the Seattle sound you used to love but want something fresh, as opposed to hunting down your old Soundgarden albums, then definitely take a listen to Roymackonkey's "Cassandra Never Lies."

"Beatlesque One" by Alan Bernhoft (60's Rock Artist from Los Angeles, California(CA))

Alan Bernhoft has captured the style and feel of the legendary British pop band "The Beatles" with his appropriately titled album "Beatlesque One." His approach is remarkably reminiscent of the early Beatles style while at the same time fresh and original, paying homage to the group but spinning the music is his own creative and unique way. He portrays the atmosphere of the 1960s immediately and effectively on this album with "Keep Your Hands Off My Baby," a stunning opener that perfectly encapsulates the sound of the era that fused British pop with American rock-n-roll. The songs are well-written and skillfully produced, with clever arrangements and spirited musical performances. Another highlight is "Winter Ocean Mary Go Round ('08 Mix)," which is symbolic of the style of John Lennon. Bernhoft's introspective writing displays a truly uncanny resemblance to many aspects of The Beatles music, capturing their essence in both spirit and sound. "A Goddess Kiss" by Stone Antica (Rock Artist from Los Angeles, California(CA))

Stone Antica introduces their first studio recording "A Goddess Kiss", a CD packed with genres of rock, funk, pop, and punk. Vocals are embedded with strong and clear cut clarity which captures the mood of the music. Edgy rock guitar sets off the tone of "Can't Get Out" with the solid support of the funky bass line. The chemistry between the musicians is extremely polished and the band is tight and well rehearsed. You will certainly appreciate the emphasis placed on the importance of the interaction between each band member. Delving into the grooving funk style, the bass line on "The Fan" is impressive, intermingling with driving guitars and vigorous drums. The composition on "The Grace of a Goddess Kiss" is played with a relaxed, soft rock ballad style and features expressive lyrics, smooth bass, guitar, and drums which also spotlights the versatility of this group. "A Goddess Kiss" is well worth listening to especially if you enjoy music by Rage Against the Machine or Audio Slave.
