Jazz bassist, Don Kirby, releases his first solo album, "Avant Gospel," that is comprised of beautiful Gospel music. Kirby lays the foundation of this Avant-Garde album with his solid expertise on the upright bass and heartfelt vocals. Feel the spiritual accent on, "This Is What I Need," as the lyrics are straight from the heart. "Who Cares" is a lively little tune with a nice percussive balance. "Bluer Than July Sky" is a strong embodied song that is centered on deep and sincere religious emotions.
