Elliot Matsu's newly released album "The Value of Power" is packed with alternative rock/pop music. Matsu is a gifted musician who has a talent for writing thoughtful and sincere lyrics. His vocals are crisp and polished with a soft tonality. The album has a high-quality production, as there is a dynamic balance between the vocals and instruments. This album in general has an overall happy sort of feel about it. "Takin the Train" is an easy listening pleasure with pleasant bluesy guitar riffs fused with subtle keys. "Who Am I" has a piano driven intro and peaks out with guitar power chords on the chorus.
